RV dehumidifiers come in a variety of shapes and forms and have numerous bells and whistles. But their purpose is always the same – to keep humidity levels low to protect against mold and mildew.
Here are a few things to consider when deciding which is the best RV dehumidifier for you.
- Type of RV dehumidifiers. There are two major types of RV dehumidifiers: desiccant and refrigerant.
- A desiccant dehumidifier uses a silica gel to draw moisture out of the air. They are as simple as the disposable moisture absorbers and can get more complex and mechanical.
- A refrigerant dehumidifier pulls air past cool coils where water from the air condenses and is collected to be removed.
