With bittersweet emotion, we announce that we are selling our beloved “Pavement Princess”!
Although the first twenty years of her life were spent without us, we’re pleased that we could spend the last four years together and look forward to handing over the keys to someone who will appreciate all of the TLC we put into completely remodeling the camper!

Low-Mileage Motorhome: When we purchased it, the motorhome had 47,950 miles. After driving it for 3 years, we have only added 38,440 miles, for 86,390 miles.
Tow Car Equipment: We towed a 2010 Honda CRV behind our motorhome using ROADMASTER tow equipment. The camper price includes the Nighthawk tow bar ($1,300) and the tow defender rock guard ($500).
Custom Remodel: We purchased the motorhome in November 2020 and spent the next 8 months fully remodeling it, customizing the design to ensure that it met the following criteria:
- Felt like a HOME and not an RV
- Was equipped for multiple days/weeks of boondocking
- Would not require substantial maintenance and upgrades
We achieved each of these goals and built in the comfort and practicality that make the motorhome one of, if not the, most unique RVs on the road.

One of the best things about purchasing our beloved Pavement Princess is that you can watch the videos explaining why we chose to remodel each room the way we did and see how we completed each project. This allows you to see the passion and purpose we invested in the remodel’s TLC.
You can watch the video series at this link or check out the information below to learn more about how important each feature/appliance is to the motorhome.
KITCHEN
We love to cook fresh, healthy meals so we made the kitchen a focal point of the motorhome. Some key features of the kitchen include:
- Butcher Block Countertop
- Deep Stainless Steel Sink
- Residential Faucet
- Vinyl Backsplash
- Hidden Trashcan
Our biggest desire was to replace the flimsy old countertop, sink, and faucet with a butcherblock countertop, deep sink, and residential faucet. We painted the cabinets and built a pull-out trashcan that hides beneath the counter.
The kitchen is equipped with a 3-burner stove and oven combination, and we removed the microwave to make room for a much more practical air fryer. A decorative vinyl backsplash, along with a vertical utensil rack and copper-pipe paper towel holder, ties the room together.

BATHROOM
We chose this floorplan because of the split walkthrough bathroom feature. With the toilet on one side and the shower and sink on the other side, the bathroom is one of the most spacious rooms in the entire camper and includes the following features:
- Cedar Plank Shower
- New Shower Pan
- Oxygenics Showerhead
- Butcher Block Countertop
- Vessel Sink + Residental Faucet
- DIY Composting Toilet + Urine Diverter
- Custom Towel & Toilet Paper Holders
We completely remodeled the bathroom by tearing down the old shower and building a cedar-plank shower frame supported by a copper pipe shower rod. The shower pan is new (October 2023) and we updated the shower knobs to match the room and added our favorite Oxygenics showerhead to help control water waste.
We also removed the old countertop, sink, and faucet and replaced it with a butcherblock countertop, ceramic vessel sink, and residential faucet, making it functional and extremely pleasing to the eye.
Because we prefer boondocking, we removed the existing plumbed toilet and built a composting toilet to collect the solids for composting and divert the urine to the black tank. There is also additional storage on either side of the toilet.

LIVING ROOM
The living room is as spacious as a motorhome without a slide-out. We liked this floor plan because it gave us plenty of space to create the homey look and feel we wanted. It has a custom sofa under which we could place our power system, a desk in front of the large window and plenty of room to work with in between.
Here are a few key features of the living room:
- A convertible sofa that lifts and pulls out to a full-size mattress
- Power system including batteries, solar charge controller and inverter beneath the sofa
- Large desk facing the window
- 4-cube storage by the doorway
- Cabover pullout designed for standing desk, television or additional bed (twin size).

BEDROOM
Although the bedroom has the fewest and least substantial modifications, we still made a few modifications to make it feel more comfortable and practical, including:
- Custom-designed and Painted Barn Doors
- Blackout Curtains
- Wall Storage
- Hidden Laundry Chute
- Built-in Dog Bed/Step & Hidden Shoe Bin
The spacious bedroom has room to walk around on either side of the bed. Each side has a tall closet cabinet and pull-out drawer. There are also 3 overhead cabinet drawers and an under-bed storage area with additional room.

Motorhome Idiosyncrocies
FULL DISCLOSURE: Like all vehicles, there are a few things that you may want to pay attention to or invest some time and/or money into addressing. None of these items bothered us – nor are they major issues. But we want you to know that you are buying a motorhome that we lived in FULL TIME and thus invested heavily in ensuring that it was mechanically sound for any essential features.
- The speedometer is “stuck” at 40 mph until you go over 40 mph
- The passenger door does not unlock from the outside
